State Level Social Policy

State Social Policy Research Paper – INSTRUCTIONS TOPIC: SELECT A STATE LEVEL SOCIAL POLICY First inform what STATE you selected. Then write a high-quality research paper, with a minimum of 7 pages, that will analyze a STATE LEVEL SOCIAL POLICY related to one of the following social policies in the selected STATE:   Children and Families Education & Schooling Health & Wellness Employment Child Support Enforcement Seniors Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Housing Assistance Veterans Benefits and Services Head Start Workers’ Compensation School Lunch and Breakfast Workforce Investment Act  Or propose another State Social Policy that you would like to write about. (If there is any kind of unclarity about your proposed state policy, then default to one of the polices above, to be in the safe side) Sometimes the State Policy may be expressed in the State Agency or Department responsible for that area. For example, policies regarding Children and Families may be found in the State Department of Children and Families. Research carefully. NOTE 1: This paper is restricted to a Social Policy in your State. If you live in Connecticut, then write about a social policy in Connecticut only.  NOTE 2:  A paper written about a Federal Policy will result a zero grade. It must be a State Policy. Be very careful, as most State Policies have similar titles to ones above, as their origin might derive from the Federal Social Policy. For emphasis, 100% of ALL sections of this paper must be about the STATE SOCIAL POLICY and NOT the Federal Policy of a similar name. NOTE 3. A paper written about a social policy of a non-profit organization will result a zero grade.   PAPER SECTIONS & SUB-HEADINGS Your paper has 7 required sections Copy and Paste ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 7 SUB-HEADINGS EXACTLY into your paper and then write the minimum number of required pages for each section.   Highlight all sub-titles in BOLD FORMAT.  Include the minimum number of peer reviewed references with Author/Authors in EACH section. Must state the page or pages  where the citation is discussed in the journal article. 15 Grade Points. (7) What improvements to the policy would you recommend in the State? Back this up with reference to further additional points in relation to the innovative model in #3 above or other innovative models of implementation in other states or countries. For this Section: A Minimum of 1 Page. A minimum of 2 peer reviewed unique references with Author/Authors. Must state the page or pages  where the citation is discussed in the journal article. 14 Grade Points.   REFERENCES: There must be a minimum of 14 independent PEER REVIEWED UNIQUE references with Author/Authors, YEAR, citied BOTH IN-TEXT and in a REFERENCE PAGE/S all in APA Style Format. You can of course have more than 14 references. Use the Online Databases that you have access to as a student. NOTE 1:  Reference Page References WITHOUT IN-TEXT Reference Citations are equivalent to non-references, and 3 points will be deducted for each occurrence. NOTE 2:  All Required 14 References MUST BE from UNIQUE PEER REVIEWED Sources such as Textbooks, Journals, etc.  NOTE 3: All of the Minimum Required 14 References must be UNIQUE, meaning coming from 14 difference textbooks, journals, or other peer reviewed sources. Copying and pasting the content of a reference, as if it were your own words is plagiarism. Such instances could result in a zero grade for the entire paper and could have further far reaching impact. Turnitin will pick up all such instances. Either you restate the essence in your own words or put the reference in quotation marks. NOTE 9. Keep the total number of required references in quotation marks to a maximum of one reference. That should be a compelling statement to warrant citing it in quotation marks. NOTE 10:  Use APA Style for ALL IN-TEXT and REFERENCE Page references. References not formatted properly in APA will be deducted 3 points/occurrence.   PAPER FORMAT The State Social Policy Research Paper will be a minimum of 7 pages of content with ALL of the 7 Subsections copy and pasted into the paper and Highlighted in Bold Format. The 7 Content Pages are apart from Sub-titles, Cover Page and References Pages. With the sub-headings, aim for 7.5 Pages of content, to be on the safe side. Some examples: Reference EG: 10 of the 14 References are all internet-based references with Author/Authors and Years. Then 27 Points are lost (9 Internet References X 3 Points). Only 1 internet reference is allowed. Reference EG: All 14 references are internet only references, then 39 (13 X 3) points are lost. Reference EG: 6 in-text references are properly cited with Author/Authors and Year, but they are just dropped in rather than well integrated, such as supporting or countering a point being made, then up to 18 points are lost. (6 Dropped in References without proper integration X 3 Points) Reference EG: All 14 References have Author/Authors, all have In-Text and Reference Page references, all are properly cited using APA style, all are well integrated in the paper context. However, all 14 reference are concentrated in the first three sections of the paper. Section 4-7 have no references. Then 24 Points are lost (8 Required References for Section 4 to 7 X 3 Points Each) Reference EG: All 14 References have Author/Authors, all have In-Text and Reference Page references, all are properly cited using APA style, all are well integrated in the paper context, and all sections have the required minimum of 2 references. However, all 14 references are citied from just 4 UNIQUE Sources (textbooks, journals, etc.). Then 30 Points are lost (Missing 10 Required UNIQUE (Meaning from Different Sources) References X 3 Points Each) Reference EG: There are 14 References properly cited using APA format in the Reference Page, but only 7 have IN-TEXT Citations in the Body of the Paper with Author/Authors and YEAR. Then 27 Points are deducted. (7 missing IN-TEXT references X 3 Points). Reference EG: 5 References in the Reference Page are NOT properly cited in APA Style Format. Then up to 15 Points are deducted (5 improperly cited references X 3 Points) Reference EG: 4 Reference Page Citations did not have the page number or page numbers of the journal article or text were the citation was discussed. Then 12 points are deducted (4 Citations without page number or numbers X 3 Points Each)  Your paper is mainly about a Federal Policy instead of a State Policy, then almost all 100 points are lost. Your paper is mainly about the social Policy of a Non-Profit Organization instead of a State Policy, then almost all 100 points are lost. You wrote 4 Pages instead of the required 7 pages, then 42 points are lost (3 Pages X 14 Points). Four Sections have only ½ Page of content, when 1 Page was required. 28 Points Lost (7 Points/Page X 4 Pages). Each full page is approximately equivalent to 14 Point. You wrote a 7-page paper and you did not cover subsections 2, 5, 6. Then 42 Points are deducted for the 3 Required Subsections either missing or that have almost no content (3 Missing Required Subsections X 14 Points Each).
