It’s fairly formal. I show you this not so you’ll copy it, but so you have an idea of how to include the right information for your speech.Speech Writing techniques;• Intentional repetition: (Ten years ago I did x; 10 years ago I did y, 10 years ago I…)• The rule of three (First I went to the store, then the bank, then came home…)• Sensory description: “I remember standing on the wind swept plain…” this brings a scene to life if it’s appropriate to the setting• Numbers are important: How many how are graduating? Is it the biggest class? (I’ll get you some recent facts), is there a new class of majors?• Keep your sentence relatively short• Appropriate ending: What happens after the president finishes speaking?
